  • Yellow tea (Huang Cha, 黄茶) is one of China’s six traditional tea categories. It is made through a special process called menhuang (闷黄), where lightly oxidized leaves are gently steamed and wrapped to promote mild fermentation. This gives yellow tea its signature golden hue, smooth texture, and sweet, mellow flavor distinct from green tea.

  • Huoshan Huangya is one of the oldest and most traditional yellow teas in China. It is made exclusively from tender spring buds and young leaves, hand-processed through delicate steps of pan-firing, wrapping, and slow oxidation. The result is a tea with bright golden liquor, a refined nutty aroma, and a clean, lasting sweetness.

  • Bright yellow-golden liquor; smooth and gentle body; notes of roasted chestnut, orchid, and honey; a long, clean finish with light floral sweetness.
