Welcome to the World of Tea — A Tea Course at Helsingin Aikuisopisto, Taught by Patricia

This autumn, Helsingin Aikuisopisto (Helsinki Adult Education Institute) is offering a tea course titled Welcome to the World of Tea, taught by Patricia, and focused on exploring tea through culture, origin, and hands-on practice.

Across four sessions, the course takes participants on a journey from Asia to Europe, looking at how tea is produced in different countries, how various tea types are formed and differentiated, and how brewing techniques influence aroma, flavor, and overall experience. Tea is tasted together in each session, with time devoted to practical brewing, discussion, and learning about tea cultures from around the world.

For this course, the teas used during the sessions are sourced from Teetao, and we are also sponsoring the teaching tea ware used in class. We are happy to support the course in this way, contributing both tea and tools to an educational setting that values careful tasting and thoughtful preparation.

While the course itself is independently organized by Helsingin Aikuisopisto and taught by Patricia, we appreciate opportunities to support tea education and initiatives that encourage deeper understanding of tea beyond the everyday cup.
