Chun Mee
Chun Mee
Chun Mee, meaning “Precious Eyebrow”, is a traditional Chinese green tea known for its finely curved leaves that resemble delicate eyebrows. It is one of the most widely enjoyed Chinese green teas both domestically and internationally.
Recommended Gongfu Brewing Method
Recommended teaware: Use a gaiwan or a glass teapot to enjoy the eyebrow-shaped leaves as they unfurl. Yixing clay teapots are not recommended, as they may soften the brisk flavor.
Water temperature: 70–80 °C.
Brewing: Use 1 g of tea per 50 ml water (about 3 g for a 150 ml gaiwan). Steep the first infusion for about 40 seconds at 70–80 °C, then increase each following infusion by 5–10 seconds. This tea can be brewed at least 4–5 times.
