Handmade Yixing Clay “Xiaoying” (Smiling Cherry 笑樱) Teapot

A handcrafted Yixing Zisha teapot made from rare Xiaomeiyao Zhuni Clay (小煤窑朱泥). The Piaohua Xiaoying (飘花笑樱, “Blossoming Smiling Cherry”) design combines delicate floral decoration with the graceful curves of the traditional Xiaoying form. Crafted by Wu Xiaowei (吴小卫), this teapot showcases the refined character of Xiaomeiyao Zhuni clay, prized for its fine texture, excellent heat retention, and aroma-preserving qualities. With continued use, the clay develops a rich, lustrous patina, making each teapot uniquely personal over time. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for gongfu tea brewing and appreciating aromatic teas.
