Huoshan Huangya is one of China’s most renowned yellow teas, originating from Huoshan County in Anhui Province. Made from tender spring buds and young leaves, it undergoes the traditional menhuang (闷黄) yellowing process, creating its signature golden color and mellow sweetness.

It brews a bright yellow-gold liquor with a smooth, refreshing body and elegant notes of chestnut, orchid and honeyed grains.

The Tea Story

What is Yellow Tea?
Yellow tea (Huang Cha, 黄茶) is one of China’s six traditional tea categories. Its menhuang process gently steams and wraps lightly oxidised leaves to encourage mild fermentation, producing a golden hue and mellow sweetness.

It is one of China’s oldest yellow teas, hand processed from tender spring buds through pan-firing, wrapping and slow oxidation.
